Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Meriden Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
Our host may record standard server details such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which reference pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use available data to run the pages, troubleshoot faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
External Record and Search Links
Links may lead to the Meriden City Clerk, assessor and GIS portals, the Connecticut Judicial Branch, the Meriden Public Library, the Historical Society, state archives, or a third-party search tool. Each outside service sets its own privacy terms, and those terms govern anything submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by a third party as well.
Who Handles the Data
Hosting and support providers may process server logs while operating the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise do not disclose it.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because Meriden Residents Directory has no user accounts, it does not hold a password or personal profile for you to expose.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information, contact us so we can remove it.
Connecticut Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live and whether a law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data held by a website. The Connecticut Data Privacy Act, Chapter 743jj, Conn. Gen. Stat. ยงยง42-515-42-525, also addresses opt-outs from sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Because this reference keeps very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask. The Act has exemptions, and it does not place Meriden City Clerk deeds, voter files, court records, or library archives under our control. Requests about those records belong with the originating custodian.
Policy Revisions
When this policy changes, the revised text will appear here. Continued use after the revision is posted indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
